I offer training to help professionals understand communication disorders, identify challenges in caregiving, make appropriate referrals, and access resources for intervention programs. These sessions may qualify for continued education units (CEUs) for the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA).

for the New School Year
Luna led the group through reflection activities and meditation exercises to help participants set intentions and goals for the upcoming school year, emphasizing the importance of envisioning success before planning specific actions. Participants concluded by sharing personal reflections about their parenting journeys and selecting focus words for the new school year while discussing different approaches to problem-solving and therapy.

The Power of Nonverbal Communication to Support Social Communication
Luna discussed how powerful nonverbal communication is as a fundamental building block to more complex language. Body language and facial expressions and sounds paired with meaning helps children tune in to others and make inferences as to what others are thinking. This is the core of perspective taking and the foundation for social connections. She shared numerous ways to connect with children without using words, which can have numerous benefits in building language.
